The Redefining Retirement workshops were developed to help participants work through a process of personal reflection, community discovery, opportunity identification and idea implementation. Each participant will reflect on their skills, interests, experience and passions, and how they could be of benefit to their own community. Participants may chose to apply their skills through the development of a business, a social enterprise, by mentoring a community member or choosing to volunteer with an existing organization. The sky is really the limit!

It is strongly suggested that participants attend the four workshops that be will delivered in their area. Each workshop builds upon work done in a previous session, and participants who attend each workshop will get the most bang for their buck (keep in mind that all of our workshops are completely free!).

The workshops are:

  • Who you are Matters - personal reflection on your skills, experiences, passions and interests
  • Where you are Matters - community discovery to discuss what is happening in your area, what are the challenges or opportunities that you could be engaged with?
  • What you do Matters - opportunity identification to determine how you want to apply your skills and interests to work in your community.
  • What I have Matters - a chance to meet with local experts who can help you make your idea a reality.

While we strongly suggest that participants attend each session, we understand that sometimes it's just not possible. Please contact us if you want to be a participant, but have a conflict that does not enable you to attend each session.
